Dear Friends in Christ:
As pastor of Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church in Jackson, Michigan, I welcome you to our parish website. Whether you are a parishioner past or present, an alumnus of the parish school, a cyber-guest or someone who happened upon this site by accident, we hope you find www.queenschurch.com to be informational, inspiring and up-to-date. In days gone by, a Church’s hands of ministry tended to extend only a short distance beyond the back pew of the Church. Now, through the blessings and challenges of modern technology and mass communication, we are able to reach out to people in other parts of the world with the stroke of a button on a keyboard. Technology and the various modes of communication definitely have a vital role to play in the new evangelization. Cyberspace effectively allows us to become a ‘Church without walls,’ interacting with people of various cultures and customs, both near and far. If you are a member of our parish, I hope this site keeps you updated with important upcoming events. If you are not a member of Queen of the Miraculous Medal, perhaps something you find here will encourage you to come check us out, not just in virtual reality, but by honoring us with a visit in-person to our campus on the southwest side of Jackson. May God be with you as we journey together towards eternal life with Christ in Heaven.
In Jesus’ name,
Rev. Timothy E. MacDonald, Pastor
